How BudLogix reads the regulation for you

The Compliance module never asks you what the law says. It holds the regulation text itself and derives its checklists from that text, so every citation on screen can be traced to a paragraph.

The regulation on file

For each state, BudLogix stores the regulations in force with their effective dates. In Massachusetts that is 935 CMR 500.000 (adult-use) and 935 CMR 501.000 (medical). Your State and Licensed for settings decide which apply to you. If either is unset, the module says "We do not know which law applies to you yet" rather than guessing.

What is derived from it

  • Requirements. Each section that says to maintain a written policy becomes a row under Required in writing on coverage. Sections phrased as conduct become Duties an SOP usually carries. The summary shown is quoted from the regulation, never paraphrased.
  • Incident classes. The occasions listed in 500.110(9)(a) become the choices on Report an incident, with the notification hours and report days read from the same section. If the text does not state a number, no deadline is shown rather than a made-up one.
  • Merged duties. An operator licensed for both programmes sees one row where 500 and 501 impose the same duty, with the second citation shown beside the first.

Facts versus judgement

Facts are never model-generated. Citations, dates, deadlines, licence numbers and Metrc tags come from pattern matching over the regulation or a statement. The AI model is used only for judgement and prose: deciding whether an SOP section satisfies a requirement, splitting findings, drafting procedures and correction plans. Where the model must name a cite it is given a fixed list to choose from and cannot add to it. Any citation a model writes into an SOP draft is stripped.

Keeping it current

Every day at 7:00 AM Eastern a check confirms each regulation in force has a derived checklist, so an empty checklist never reads as full coverage.

Where you see this
