How a review is credited to a budtender

A Google review earns the budtender behind it a credit, paid at the amount set on Review Management Settings ($1.00 unless changed). Only Google reviews count; a private review does not. Nothing in the ask names a budtender: the ask and the review page name the store only, and the credit comes from the sale and from what the customer wrote.

How the budtender is found

The first of these that finds someone wins.

  1. The sale. The review was matched to one of your asks (see How a Google review is matched) and that ask's sale was rung by the budtender, as Dutchie records who completed it. BudLogix finds the person by the till name the employee sync keeps on their record, or else by their first and last name, so a budtender who has since left is still found. Confident when the customer tapped your Google link after the sale, or when a person linked the review; a match on name and timing alone is uncertain, unless the review also names that budtender.
  2. The words. With no sale behind it, the review is read for staff names (active staff who ring sales). First and last name, or first name and last initial ("Maria S."), as whole words: confident, and everyone named that way is credited. Otherwise a first name, written with a capital, that nobody else on staff has: uncertain, one credit for each such name. Failing that, a word close to one first name and clearly closer than to any other ("Devin" for Devon): uncertain, and never paid without a person.

When it pays

A confident credit pays at once when the review has 4 stars or more and none of your Words that hold a credit for a manager. Anything else waits on Review credits for someone with Approve Review Credits, and they are sent the Review Credits Waiting for Approval email, once per review. Approving pays the amount the credit was written with.

How a credit is taken back

  • Rejected while waiting: nothing was paid, so nothing is taken back and the budtender sees "not credited" with the reason given.
  • Reversed after it paid: a new minus line for what it paid. Earnings are never edited or deleted; every payment and every reversal is a line of its own.
  • Withdrawn by BudLogix: when the match comes off (Not this customer, or a weak match cleared) the credit that came from that sale is rejected if it was waiting or reversed if it paid, and so is every credit of a review that is deleted.

A review is credited to a budtender once. Credits written before a store turned this on are added with reviews:credit-budtenders, which BudLogix runs; it emails nobody, and what it pays lands in the month it runs.
